Investor Product Specialist
The department
The Product & Institutional Relations unit is responsible for maintaining the capital raising products, developing new propositions, relationship and acquisition of larger investment account and institutional grants for our non-profit activities. The unit cooperates closely with marketing, investor engagement, and investor support, to improve the product and propositions.
Job purpose
The Product Specialist maintains and expands the capital raising proposition across countries and target groups, as well as the retail donation product. They ensure the products/propositions are commercially attractive and structured to be legally compliant and operationally efficient.
Main responsibilities
- Maintenance of the participation: serve as project manager and content specialist for the annual renewal of the equity product participation. Collaborate with business units to supply content, prepare own content, read critically the content for quality, liaise with legal counsel on the preparation and filing with the AFM etc. Ensure mandatory communications are on the websites. Manage the implementation of amendments to the terms and conditions.
- Localisation: source and update general information related to the tax treatment of the investment in the various countries; annual certification/label renewals (e.g. Fair, ESUS). Translations of prospectus/mandatory terms. Prepare and maintain glossaries of mandatory terms. Proactively identify other venues to bring our proposition closer to the investor in every market at scale.
- Optimization and improvement: standardize practices and operations across markets while being sensitive to mandatory requirements and the voice of the customer.
- New/improved propositions: develop/improve current propositions based on the participation so that it can be marketed to new target groups (e.g. joint holders, (grand)children, legacies) in our target markets. Enable proposition to non-retail investors outside the EU. Work with cross-functional teams to bring new product propositions to life.
- Donation product and proposition: Clarify and improve the retail donation propositions to fund non-profit activities.
- Stakeholder communication: Collaborate with and inform different stakeholder groups in the organisation. Create awareness of the opportunities and limits of the product.
- Product management process optimisation: mature to proactively identify opportunities to automate processes (e.g. NLP for translations, generative AI for content production/knowledge management).
- New products: be a key member to cross-functional teams tasked with developing new products.
Qualifications
- University degree in the field of finance, economics, law, business administration or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant position, ideally in the finance of social impact industries.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive results.
- Knowledge of financial products and regulation, general corporate structures, general tax aspects
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- A commercial approach with excellent communications skills
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; German, French and/or Spanish are desirable.
