Regional Director South-East Asia
The Role:
As the Regional Director for South-East Asia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operations in the region. With the regional seat transitioning from Manila, you will be instrumental in determining the organization and location of our activities.
Job purpose
The Regional Director will lead the growth of Oikocredit’s development finance portfolio in South-East Asia. This role involves building a sustainable portfolio in line with the agreed strategy, managing impact, risk, and return, and leading a team to develop and expand products, services, and partnerships.
The Regional Director will also represent the region, engage in networking, and drive fundraising efforts
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a vision and strategy for the region, manage the budget, and oversee performance.
- Portfolio Management: Build a diversified portfolio of quality projects in financial inclusion, agriculture, and renewable energy, ensuring sustainability and impact.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and coach a high-performing team, ensuring the right people are in the right roles.
- Partnership Building: Maintain strong relationships with project partners and engage in external representation and fundraising.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all activities comply with investment mandates, local laws, regulations, and Oikocredit policies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for and experience in social impact management
- Academic background in development economics, business administration, or finance.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking, investment management, economic development, or financial services in senior management roles.
- Experience in evaluating investment proposals and managing equity and credit relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of the South-East Asia region.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa.
- Experience with capacity building programs and multicultural personnel management is a plus.

Additional Information:
Preferably based in Indonesia.
