About the job
The Investor Engagement Officer is responsible for executing on the market strategy for their region through initiating and building relationships with leads and investors with the goal to increase investments and reduce churn. Through customer-centricity and good understanding of Oikocredit’s offerings, the Investor Engagement officer creates a compelling proposition for (potential) investors. The Investor Engagement Officer uses different channels of communication to engage with (potential) investors, such as phone / email / personal interactions and organises and/or participates in events which attract target groups of Oikocredit.
Main Responsibilities
Lead creation and conversion:
Executes on the market strategy developed by the Marketing Unit, and follows up with leads generated through the digital campaigns. Further, organizes events (in-person and online) to create touchpoints with identified target groups, and follows up with participants to facilitate conversion of new investors.
Investor engagement:
Creates an account plan which describes the actions to be taken to achieve ambitious yet realistic measurable goals. Engages with current investors to facilitate additional investments, maintain loyalty to reduce churn, and offer additional propositions (e.g. child, legacy investments) that are suitable for the investor given their lifecycle moment.
Cross-functional/stakeholder collaboration:
Works together with relevant stakeholders to ensure customer centricity and optimize client satisfaction. Collaborates with Investor Support to capture opportunities; with the Marketing Unit to receive the marketing mix and refine the approach for the local market based on feedback from leads and investors and knowledge of local competitors; with the Support Associations in the region and the volunteers to create joint opportunities for lead flow; and with the Institutional (Large) investors unit to facilitate large account opportunities and grow smaller into larger accounts. Further, uses the data insights developed by the Marketing Ops team to understand success drivers and prioritize actions accordingly.
Continuous improvement of the customer experience:
Generates initiatives to improve the customer experience and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- University degree in communication, social sciences, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in sales / customer engagement, preferably in the financial industry
- Knowledge of or ability to appreciate the regulatory boundaries of retail investments, impact investing in general, and strong affinity with sustainability
- A results-driven, commercial approach with excellent communications skills and empathy for the customer
- Is used to working with measurable goals and customer KPIs
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders while keeping an eye on goals
- Fluency in English, Dutch and French.
