Operations Process Specialist

About the department
The Operations Unit of Oikocredit is responsible for managing and facilitating the financial administrative activities. This department has two functional areas: Investor Support and Back Office.
The unit enables the Investment Development business by providing back-office services, such as loan administration and equity investment administration. Typically the back office team offers a wide a range of services among other disbursement approvals and invoicing. The back office team services the investment teams located worldwide.
The investor support team enables the capital raising and investor relations business. The team acts as the first point of contact for the participation holders. Its main responsibilities entail onboarding prospecting investors, conducting CDD, processing transactions related to the investment cycle e.g., redemptions, investment purchases, etc… and attending participation holders' queries. The investor support team is based in Europe and has a multicultural and multilingual staff.
Job purpose
To standardize and enhance processes, optimize systems, and utilize tools to deliver high-quality standards throughout the organization.
Main Responsibilities
80% time. Process and data quality management
- Act as subject matter expert in the optimization of initiatives to improve the operations processes for inflow (capital raising and investor relations) and outflow (loans and equity transactions);
- Ensure overall inflow and outflow data quality, acting as operations data steward;
- Map documents and updates procedures/ work instructions/ customer journey packages regularly together with the business;
- Propose and implement enhancements to streamline workflows;
- Design builds and maintains the power BI dashboard that track key information and safeguard data quality;
- Establish together with business data quality models and monitors its adherence.
20% time. Product Owner
- Work closely with IT teams and other units to enhance system capabilities;
- Manage backlog of changes in eFront (management system showing the portfolio of borrowers);
- Receive and evaluating request from eFront users;
- Arrange sprints and manage communication with developers;
- Test and ensure user testing when needed;
- Request releases to Infra team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree with relevant experience or Master Degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain.
- 3-4 years’ experience in a business process role preferably in the financial industry.
- Process management certification, yellow belt, green belt or black belt is desirable.
- Proven experience with Power BI reporting or equivalent.
- An affinity for customer service, relations, and satisfaction, along with their respective processes, is essential.
- Proficient IT literacy to make effective use of the applications and systems required.
- Having knowledge of Salesforce implementation would be advantageous.
- Good inter-personal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to operate in complex environments.
- Conscientious personality, eye for detail.
- Fluency in English (other languages are desirable).
