About the department
The CDD team is part of the Operations Unit and it ensures proper execution of the CDD on new and existing investors and members. The team safeguards that accepted clients adhere to Oikocredit’s risk appetite towards financial crime, AML risk and fraud.
About the job
The CDD Officer is responsible for performing the investors’ and prospect investors’ risk assessment. The role has the responsibility of conducting CDD on complex legal structures, analysing source of funds, performing periodic reviews and assessing whether investor risk profile meets the organization’s risk appetite.
Main Responsibilities
- Gather all required existing client or prospect client documentation to build CDD files that meet Oikocredit’s CDD inflow policy standards.
- Analyse the documentation collected, using internal policy and third party information.
- After analysing the documentation collected, perform in depth CDD risk assessment and determine if a customer poses an increased risks for the organization e.g. fraud, money laundering, financial crime.
- Investigate and follow-up of any events (such as adverse media, PEP and sanctions hits) that could impact an investors’ risk profile.
- Conducting monitoring for existing clients and updating data accordingly when needed.
- Work closely with Investor Relations and Investor Support teams to ensure capital preservation.
- Have the ability to communicate towards investors, addressing queries on CDD matters.
- Recommend and implement improvements on the CDD inflow processes.
- Build the reports for FATCA and CRS purpose.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Work experience on CDD related EU laws, practices and regulations or expertise dealing with financial crime cases and EU AML regulatory requirements would be a plus.
- AML or compliance training, preferably ACAMS certificate would be nice.
- Preferably knowledge FATCA/CRS reporting obligations.
- Fluent in English and French; another language would be a plus.
