Communications Intern

For our Communications team composed of six team members, we are
looking for a Communications
Intern (
32-40 hours) to be based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
The start date will be in February 2025 or shortly after, for a period of 4 – 6 months.
We also offer the possibility to write a thesis if this is required by your studies.
Main responsibilities
- Managing the website and social media channels of Oikocredit, including updating, maintaining and producing digital content for these channels.
- Planning and supporting the release of the quarterly financial results
- Coordinating review and translation processes
- Maintaining/managing the photo & video publication process, responsible for our multimedia database tool
- Supporting the creation of corporate videos, corporate publications and digital newsletters
- Researching and updating our media distribution list
- Supporting internal communications activities
- Responding to ad-hoc communications requests from our offices around the world
Qualifications
- Students enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree programme in the Netherlands in the field of communications, marketing, or related
- A strong interest in development finance
- Some (work) experience in communications and/or marketing
- Experience in content creation will be considered an asset
- ’Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (French, Spanish) will be considered an asset Excellent command of MS Office
- Strong attention to detail, time management and self-organisation skills
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment

Additional Remarks
You will receive an internship allowance amounting to € 400 gross per month for Bachelor’s students and € 500 gross per month for Master students on the basis of 40 hours per week. In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata. (Dutch standard internship allowance). In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata. In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
