Job purpose
The Events Project Manager is responsible for executing the Oikocredit 50th Anniversary Celebration project in 2025, focusing on delivering events and initiatives according to the established plan. This role centres on practical coordination and facilitation to ensure the successful implementation of the anniversary celebrations. The Events Project Manager will be supported by a project officer and interns where available. The celebrations will include four global events, which will be a key focus of the role.
The Events Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering Oikocredit’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations, ensuring their successful execution through collaboration, organisation, and stakeholder engagement.
Result areas of the job
The Events Project Manager will:
- Deliver the 50th-anniversary project plan, ensuring all milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Coordinate and facilitate working groups to ensure effective project execution, incorporating contributions from internal teams, investor relations, Support Associations, regional teams, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage the organisation of four global events, ensuring they are well-executed and aligned with Oikocredit’s values and mission.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery of all events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster engagement and ensure alignment with the overall project goals.
- Supervise the creation of event-related content and multimedia materials, ensuring they reflect Oikocredit’s history, values, and branding.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and sustainability guidelines, including promoting climate-neutral events and responsible material use.
Education, skills, and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant project management experience, ideally within an international or communications-related environment.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and implementing events or projects.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in an additional language such as Dutch, German, French, or Spanish considered an advantage.

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proven project management expertise, including planning, coordination, and execution.

Additional remarks
This temporary role is open for 24-32 hours a week until the end of December 2025.
