Junior Project Officer and Data Analyst for End Client Survey Programme

We are looking for a Junior Project Officer and Data Analyst (40 hours) to be based in either of the three mentioned locations above. This a temporary position until December 31st 2025.
The Jr. Project Officer is part of the Strategy & Sustainable Impact team and reports to the Director of the Strategy and Sustainable Impact, however we will coordinate the daily activities with other members of the staff and the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Jr. Officer will create capacity and engagement within Oikocredit and our partners for the implementation of social performance management, a sustainability framework, standards, policies and procedures.
Improve Oikocredit’s impact and sustainability reporting by generating insights into outputs and outcomes via the End-Client Survey Programme and Oikocredit’s theory of change. Within the department of Strategy and Sustainable Impact team, you will be part of End-client Survey Programme team. The role will mainly focus on the implementation of the End-client Survey Programme. You will be responsible for engaging partner organisations from the agricultural, renewable energy and/or financial inclusion sectors, ensuring and strengthening their effective data collection, analysis and reporting to drive actionable insights.
Main responsibilities
- Onboarding of microfinance other social impact organisations
- Present the programme, get buy-in and make explicit the commitment in terms of time and resources that would be required of participating organisations
- Conduct a readiness assessment in terms of systems, staff and skills
- Conduct training as may be required
- Support the activities and arrangements of the operation of the front and back office of the programme.
- Contribute to the development, expansion and meticulous maintenance of our PowerBI Dashboard
- Perform and support data analysis of partner information, involving descriptive statistical analysis, hypotheses testing and other methods established in the research agenda
- Review, test and rollout of a survey to acquire feedback on perceived changes in client’s life as a result of products/services delivered by the organisations, using digital technology as far as possible.
Education, skills and experience
- Advanced academic qualifications in Development Economics, Econometrics and Social Studies or a related disciplines with experience in statistical analysis
- Fluent in Spanish and English (communication skills: receptive and understanding of partner needs, adaptable can-do mentality to problem solving)
- Speaking and writing Portuguese is a bonus.
- Essential are proven skills in statistics, data management and analysis (very organized and disciplined mindset): Coding skills in R or STATA.
- Good competence in using Excel.
- PowerBI abilities are a bonus.
- Has experience and is passionate in working for socially-minded organizations in the inclusive and impact finance sector. Has a genuine commitment to strengthening partners’ social performance management and for supporting the lives of low-income communities.
- Experience working with finance cooperatives and agricultural cooperatives is a bonus.
- Skills in relationship management.
- Proven skills in workshop creation and facilitation
Desirable:
Experience in impact financing and more particularly in financial inclusion, agriculture and renewable energy
Field experience in Latin America
