About the job
The Treasury Analyst assists in mitigating foreign exchange and interest rate risks, ensuring effective asset-liability management, and maintaining productive relationships with financial institutions. Through continuous process improvement and adherence to treasury policies, the Treasury Analyst helps strengthen the organization’s long-term financial health and strategic objectives.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in executing the department’s FX and interest rate risk management strategies, including monitoring exposures, recommending hedging options, and ensuring compliance with established risk limits.
- Perform regular analyses and generate reports to support decision-making on FX and interest rate exposures.
- Support daily and forecasted liquidity management, ensuring adequate funds are available for operational needs and investment opportunities.
- Assist in monitoring cash positions and prepare reports that provide insight into liquidity trends and projections.
- Aid in implementing funding strategies by analysing debt requirements, interest rates, and funding costs, supporting debt issuance and repayment processes as directed.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on the organization’s debt portfolio to inform funding decisions.
- Assist in evaluating financial counterparty risks, ensuring compliance with approved policies, and maintaining records of approved counterparties and limits.
- Help document treasury policies, ensuring they align with risk management and financial stability goals.
- Participate in updating and reviewing treasury documentation, contributing to a framework that ensures consistent and compliant operations.
- Assist in maintaining strategic relationships with financial institutions by preparing and providing requested documentation, monitoring bank performance, and ensuring smooth communication channels.
- Support other treasury colleagues in evaluating banking services to ensure they meet the organization’s needs.
- Produce and publish Treasury related reports for Senior management and ALCO.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements in treasury operations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve risk management capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, audit standards, and corporate governance policies, especially as treasury operates as a risk mitigation rather than a profit-generating function.
Education, skills and experience
- Ability to think globally, act strategically, and understand the broader impact of financial decisions within an international and dynamic environment.
- Experience in corporate treasury, whether in front-office, middle-office, or back-office roles.
- Knowledge of managing cash flows and currency operations.
- Familiarity with various financial instruments and their applications.
- Solid experience and skills in accounting practices.
- Proven reporting skills.
- Practical understanding and experience with IT systems.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
