Senior IT Business Analyst Finance Roadmap
Are you an experienced IT Business Analyst with a strong background in finance? We're looking for a professional to bridge the gap between our IT and finance teams.
Job purpose
The IT Business Analyst will play a key role in transforming finance processes to ensure accurate, real-time financial insights and first-time-right processing at Oikocredit. This role will be instrumental in analyzing, optimizing, and supporting the integration of finance-related IT systems, ensuring that finance operations are efficient, automated, and aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
As part of the IT Delivery Unit, the Business Analyst will bridge the gap between finance business needs and technology solutions, working closely with Finance, IT, and the Enterprise Architect to improve financial data flows, system integration, and process transparency.
The Finance Roadmap initiative aims to ensure that time-sensitive financial events are recorded correctly the first time, providing daily visibility into financial performance for informed decision-making.
Main responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Optimization
- Conduct end-to-end process analysis of financial workflows (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, hedging, FP&A, tax compliance, and financial reporting).
- Support the implementation of a new procurement tool by analyzing requirements, defining the procurement process, and ensuring alignment between Finance, IT, and key stakeholders.
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose automation & digitization opportunities.
- Work with finance stakeholders to document business requirements and define functional specifications.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
System Implementation & Integration
- Support IT in assessing and enhancing finance applications to improve usability and automation.
- Facilitate system integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between finance applications and the CRM system.
- Conduct IT feasibility studies for future-proof solutions that support finance operations.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability in finance systems.
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver finance IT enhancements in alignment with project objectives.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, the Project Management Office (PMO), and other business units, ensuring coordination on initiative goals, timelines, and dependencies.
- Support the handover of new solutions to Business as Usual (BAU) for operational continuity, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Develop user manuals, training materials, and conduct training sessions for finance teams to facilitate system adoption.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with PMO governance.
Education, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO-level) in Information Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, financial process optimization, or finance systems implementation.
- Proven experience in business-driven finance transformation initiatives, focusing on expanding receivables, payments, and accounting processes into a broader financial service provisioning scope for both internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Expertise
- Deep understanding of financial processes, including accounting, reconciliation, hedging, reporting, and payment processing solutions.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance frameworks and reporting standards.
- Experience with procurement implementation and procurement process optimization.
- Strong financial controls and risk management mindset to ensure process integrity.
IT & Technical Skills
- Ability to collect, describe, and model financial business processes, ensuring alignment with finance operations and service provisioning.
- Strong expertise in gathering, documenting, and mapping business requirements, including key roles, functions, workflows, and business objects in financial operations.
- Skilled in analyzing and defining IT requirements, ensuring effective system integrations, automation, and secure data flows while maintaining compliance and scalability.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, or similar platforms. Knowledge of the Enterprise Architect application is highly desirable.
This role will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect to ensure strategic alignment between finance operations and technology solutions.

Additional remarks
The role is open for 36 hours per week (90%) for the duration of one year, with the option to extend with another year.
