Web & SEO Intern - Marketing (32 - 40h/week)
About the job
We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Web & SEO Intern to support our digital marketing efforts. In this role, you will assist with website updates, monitor performance, and help optimize content for search engines to ensure our online presence remains strong, user-friendly, and aligned with our mission.
The start date will be in June, 2025 for at least 6 months.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in updating and maintaining content across the Oikocredit website
- Support the implementation of SEO best practices across web pages and blog content.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and the marketing team to ensure web content is consistent and optimized.
- Conduct keyword research and monitor search trends to inform content strategy.
- Help track website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant platforms.
- Identify and recommend improvements for user experience (UX), accessibility, and site structure.
- Support technical SEO tasks, such as meta tags, alt texts, internal linking, and URL optimization.
Qualifications
- Students enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree programme in the Netherlands in the field of communications, marketing, or related
- A strong interest in social impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (French, Spanish) will be considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and self-organisation skills
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a hybrid environment
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Yoast, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.).
- Familiarity with website CMS platforms (preferably WordPress or similar).
Additional Remarks
You will receive an internship allowance amounting to €500 gross per month for Master students and €400 gross per month for Bachelor’s students, on the basis of 40 hours per week. In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata.
In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
