Social Media Intern - Marketing (32-40/h week)
About the job
We are looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Intern to support our marketing team. In this role, you will help manage and grow Oikocredit’s social media presence by coordinating content and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across our channels.
The start date will be in June, for a period of at least 6 months.
Main responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the social media content calendar across Oikocredit’s platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to discuss and develop relevant topics.
- Coordinate content creation and translation processes with the content manager, designer, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor social media performance, generate reports, and support strategy optimization.
- Contribute fresh ideas and ensure the quality, consistency, and regularity of posts
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other European languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and content management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar).
- Proactive, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a strong sense of visual and editorial quality.
- Interest in impact investing, sustainability, or international development.
Additional Remarks
You will receive an internship allowance amounting to €500 gross per month for Master students and €400 gross per month for Bachelor’s students, on the basis of 40 hours per week. In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata.
In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
