About the team
The team Cloud Operations holds responsibility for managing and optimizing the cloud-based IT services and workloads.
- Build a modern cloud infrastructure by using agile approaches to capture and implement business requirements.
- Anticipate and manage the demand for services to ensure the availability of resources when needed.
- Monitor and tune the cloud infrastructure to maintain peak performance and reliability.
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Standardize and automate commonly needed platform components and solutions over time.
- Establish protocols for data recovery and business continuity in case of outages or cyber threats.
About the job
As a Senior Cloud Engineer you are responsible for the onboarding and offboarding of workloads in Azure. You understand and work with the set of IT (security) controls and make sure that the change management processes are adhered to. You will provide 3rd line support for the more complex business processes
Main responsibilities
- Be a counterpart for IT & project delivery teams to enable continuous improvement.
- Use Infrastructure as code (IaC) for changes including maintenance of the templates and pipelines in Azure DevOps and seek opportunities to improve.
- Improve, maintain and monitor the security standards, the availability and performance of the cloud infrastructure
- Support (3rd line) the cloud infrastructure for the more complex business processes.
- Guide and mentor team members, help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Education, skills and experience
- Vocational (equal to ‘HBO-level’ in the Netherlands) or academic degree in Information Management, Information Technology or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of and experience with Azure cloud environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Infrastructure as code using Bicep.
- Fluent in English.

Additional remarks
The role is open for 32 hours a week (0,8). For this reason, we unfortunately cannot sponsor HSM visa for candidates who do not meet the reduced salary criteria.
