About the job
As an Institutional Engagement Officer you are responsible for executing on the institutional fundraising strategy for Switzerland. You will initiate and build relationships with high-value leads and investors with the goal to increase investments and reduce churn. Through customer-centricity and good understanding of Oikocredit's offerings, you create a compelling proposition for (potential) investors.
Main responsibilities
Lead creation and conversion:
Contribute to defining the sales and engagement strategy for Switzerland by identifying target segments. Proactively engage potential investors and build relationship with existing ones. Take ownership for storytelling that appeals to the particular investor while remaining within the communication boundaries of the financial product.
Investor engagement:
Create an account plan which describes the actions to be taken to achieve ambitious yet realistic measurable goals. Engage with current investors to facilitate additional investments, maintain loyalty to reduce churn, and offer additional propositions (e.g. child, legacy investments) that are suitable for the investor given their lifecycle moment
Cross-functional/stakeholder collaboration:
Work together with relevant stakeholders to ensure customer centricity and optimize client satisfaction. Collaborate with Investor Support to capture opportunities; with the Marketing Unit to refine the approach for the local market based on feedback from leads and investors and knowledge of local competitors; with the Support Associations in the region and the volunteers to create joint opportunities for lead flow; and with the Investor engagement (retail) unit to facilitate large account opportunities and grow smaller into larger accounts. Further, use the data insights developed by the Marketing Ops team to understand success drivers and prioritize actions accordingly.
Continuous improvement of the customer experience:
Generate initiatives to improve the customer experience and customer satisfaction.
Education, skills and experience
- University degree in business administration, economics, finance or another relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B fundraising or comparable relationship management in the impact investments industry.
- Strong commercial drive with financial acumen and storytelling skills on impact and purpose.
- Knowledge of or ability to appreciate regulatory aspects of retail investment products.
- Results driven and data literate.
- Exceptional stakeholder management.
- Demonstrable alignment with Oikocredit’s values in particular and commitment to the goals of impact investment generally.
- Fluency in English and German, French would be a plus.

Additional remarks
Ability to travel to travel in their focus region to meet with investors for 15-20% of the time. Occasional intercontinental travel.
The role is offered for 36 hours (0,9fte)
