About the department
The Salesforce teams are part of the IT Delivery Unit and are responsible for delivering Projects and Change Requests on the Salesforce platform.
The teams are responsible for:
- Analyzing and defining project requirements;
- Solution designing, deploying, documenting and testing of new features;
- Connecting Applications through integrations;
- Creation of User Manuals and providing training;
- Assuring the right level of IT security;
- Handover to BAU (Business As Usual – Run side of IT);
- Project Management.
About the job
The IT Functional Test Specialist supports the Business Analysts (BA) in reviewing and analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective, risk-based testing. Acting on behalf of the business, the ITFTS designs test strategies and plans, executes test cases across environments, documents results, and drives defects to closure so that delivered functionality meets agreed requirements.
Main responsibilities
- Understand and review business requirements with Business Analysts
- Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure tests match the requirements
- Design and run manual test cases across different environments
- Report and follow up on bugs until they are resolved
- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Perform checks after releases and run regression tests
- Join Agile team meetings and share testing updates and risks
- Help identify which tests can be automated and support automation efforts
- Use or understand automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar
- Work with basic scripting (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) to support test automation
- Understand how automated tests fit into CI/CD pipelines
Education, skills and experience
- Vocational (equal to ‘HBO-level’ in the Netherlands) or academic degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of and experience with different testing methodologies.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Relevant experience with Salesforce.
- Experience with test automation is a strong advantage.
- Good analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Attention to detail.

Additional remarks
The role is open for 0,9 fte (36 hours per week).
