The Cloud Engineer Integrations is part of the IT Delivery Unit which is responsible for delivering Projects and Change Requests on the Salesforce platform.
The Cloud Engineer Integrations plays a critical role in the successful design, development, deployment, and 2nd line support of system integrations across the enterprise, using Microsoft Azure Integration Services (AIS). As the sole Cloud Developer Integrations on the team, this individual will be responsible for the end-to-end technical implementation and support of integration solutions, working alongside a Business Analyst and a Solution Architect to deliver robust, scalable, and secure integrations that align with business goals and technology strategy.
About the job
As Cloud Developer Integrations you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services (AIS). Coded solutions will be deployed via pipelines and the final delivery will be handed over to BAU (Business As Usual).
As the dedicated integration specialist within the team, this role will design, develop, deploy, and support robust, secure, and scalable integrations that connect business systems and services across the organization. Working closely with the Business Analyst and Solution Architect, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensure integrations adhere to architectural and security standards, and provide 2nd line support. This position plays a pivotal role in enabling seamless data flow, process automation, and system interoperability that drive business efficiency and innovation.
Main responsibilities
Integration Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.).
- Translate integration requirements into technical solutions that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Ensuring developed solutions are extensively tested according to modern CI/CD standards
Solution Support & Maintenance
- Provide 2nd line support for all Azure-based integrations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure appropriate logging, error handling, and alerting are implemented.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst and Solution Architect to understand business requirements and define technical specifications.
- Participate in agile delivery ceremonies (e.g., standups, retrospectives, sprint planning).
- Provide technical guidance and input on integration design and architecture.
Governance, Standards & Documentation
- Establish and enforce best practices for integration development and deployment.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation including design diagrams, configuration settings, and operational procedures.
- Ensure all integrations comply with security, compliance, and data governance policies.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation and integration optimization.
- Stay current with Azure advancements and industry trends to enhance existing integration capabilities.
Education, skills and experience
- 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineer Integration or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, including:
- Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- API Management o Service Bus and Event Grid
- Azure Networking Service
- Azure Monitor
- Entra Identity Platform
- Knowledge of C# and.NET framework,
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs, message-based and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure DevOps
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of integration projects from design through to 2nd line support.
Preferred:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect
- Familiarity with enterprise ERP, CRM, or SaaS integration scenarios.
- PowerShell, or other scripting/programming languages.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments.
