About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join the HR Operations team based in our head office in Amersfoort. The HR Operations team supports the delivery of the HR strategy by leading HR operations and facilities, streamlining HR administration processes and overseeing HR analytics and Compensation and Benefits.
As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in operational excellence in all aspects of the employee life cycle, including employee data management, HR systems, process improvement and HR compliance. We foster a collaborative and service-oriented environment. You will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced HR professionals.
The start date will be January/February 2026, for a period of 6 months.
Main responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation of a new HR system: collaborate with the HR team on setting up different aspects of the HR system.
- Provide HR support: Assist with administrative tasks within the HR department, including onboarding and offboarding, data entry, maintaining employee records, preparing documents, and organizing HR-related materials. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR information.
- HR documentation: Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and systems.
- Support reporting and analytics related to HR metrics.
- Stay updated on HR trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in human resources. Share insights and propose innovative ideas for improving HR processes.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in developing a career in HR.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in English, working knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HRIS system is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

The internship is open for 32-40 hours a week.

- You will receive an internship allowance amounting to € 500,00 gross per month on the basis of 40 hours per week (Dutch standard internship allowance). In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata. In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
