About the department
The Salesforce teams are part of the IT Delivery Unit and are responsible for delivering projects and change requests on the Salesforce platform.
Their responsibilities include:
Analyzing and defining project requirements
Designing, deploying, documenting, and testing new features
Integrating Salesforce with other applications
Creating user manuals and providing training
Ensuring an appropriate level of IT security
Handing over solutions to BAU (Business As Usual – IT Run team)

About the job
As a Functional QA Engineer – Data, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of Salesforce solutions and connected systems.
You work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and other delivery teams to validate business requirements and test complex data flows. Acting as the quality representative for the business, you design and execute risk‑based test strategies across UI, API, and data layers, while contributing to automation and continuous quality improvements.
This role combines functional testing, data validation, and test automation, with a strong focus on SQL‑based validation and Playwright automation.
Main responsibilities
Understand and review business requirements with Business Analysts
Execute functional testing and data validation activities
Write and run SQL queries to validate, reconcile, and analyse data across systems
Validate data across integrations, APIs, reporting layers, and data pipelines
Use BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to confirm data accuracy
Report, track, and follow up on defects
Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues in Agile ceremonies
Support test automation and data-validation initiatives
Technical skills, qualifications and experience
Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis
Hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory)
Experience with UI and/or API test automation
Experience with DWH, ETL, or backend/data-focused testing
Experience validating data across integrations, APIs, and reporting layers
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI or similar)
Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar)
Experience with Postman
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modelling principles
Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, or comparable)
Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management
Understanding of compliance requirements (AVG/GDPR) and information security basics.
Knowledge of and experience with testing methodologies
Ability to document and troubleshoot issues effectively
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery
Relevant experience with Salesforce
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially with complex datasets
Attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills
Fluent in English
