The Chief Operating Officer (COO) domain plays a vital role in driving Oikocredit’s strategic agenda. The COO Office supports this by overseeing project portfolio governance, ensuring that change initiatives are well-resourced, aligned with strategic goals, and monitored for performance. It also leads the Project Management Office (PMO) and provides leadership across all transformation efforts
About the job
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Roadmap - a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening Oikocredit’s second line of defense and enabling the business to operate within a clearly defined risk framework.
The ERM Roadmap focuses on:
- Developing and implementing portfolio modelling tools to balance risk, return, and impact.
- Introducing early warning systems and risk tracking mechanisms to identify emerging risks.
- Enhancing decision-making through predictive modelling and improved reporting.
This role covers the full project lifecycle—from initiation to closure and transition to Business-as-Usual—coordinating efforts across Enterprise Risk, Impact Investments, Finance, IT, and PMO.
The initiative spans multiple stages, including model development, performance tracking, and integration into Salesforce dashboards.
Reporting to the Head of COO Office, the Project Manager will ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget, while achieving defined business outcomes and measurable value in alignment with organisational objectives and PMO standards.
Main responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan covering milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Translate the roadmap into actionable implementation phases with clear success indicators.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Manage relationships with stakeholders across Enterprise Risk, Impact Investments, Finance, and IT.
- Ensure clear, timely communication on project progress, risks, and decisions.
Resource & Risk Management
- Plan and coordinate project resources effectively.
- Identify risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and manage escalations when necessary.
Change Enablement & Transition to BAU
- Prepare documentation, training materials, and handover plans for smooth transition.
- Contribute to tracking key success indicators and benefits realization.
Education, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Project Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience managing projects with low to moderate complexity.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and financial processes.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder environments with cross-functional teams.
Technical knowledge (valuable but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with risk modelling, portfolio management, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of IT systems and data integration.
- Experience with project management software and tools.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.

Additional remarks
This role is open for 32 hours a week (80%) and initially open for a one-year period.
