Result areas of the function
Scope: The Studio is Oikocredit’s internal creative, digital, and strategic function, responsible for delivering high-quality, brand-led content, managing digital platforms and designing and delivering impactful investor engagement experiences, including events, that support business objectives, strengthen brand awareness, and contribute to increasing investor engagement.
Working across all markets, audiences and channels, the Studio combines strategic thinking, project planning, creative expertise, and digital capability to deliver impactful visual, written, and multimedia outputs, alongside seamless and user-friendly digital experiences, and high-quality virtual and in-person events tailored to key audiences. All activities are aligned with brand, marketing, and communication strategies.
The Studio is responsible for the management and optimisation of Oikocredit’s digital communication and marketing platforms, including the website, intranet, email marketing systems, social media tools, digital asset management systems, and wider marketing technology (MarTech) ecosystem. This ensures that content is delivered effectively, consistently, and in line with organisational standards across all audiences and channels.
In addition to delivering against strategic priorities, the Studio plays an active role in shaping and strengthening them—bringing expert creative, brand, and digital perspective to inform, refine, and constructively challenge direction where needed, ensuring all outputs and platforms are effective, distinctive, and aligned with Oikocredit’s positioning.
About the job
The Performance Marketeer supports Oikocredit’s data‑driven acquisition and engagement efforts across Retail, High Value Retail (HV), and Institutional investor segments. The role focuses on executing paid media activities, optimising campaigns, and contributing to measurable growth within the requirements of a regulated financial services environment.
Using performance data, dashboards and market insights, the Performance Marketeer works closely with Audience Specialists to refine landing pages, messaging and visuals, and to improve the effectiveness of channel selection and budget utilisation. With a test‑and‑learn approach, the role identifies optimisation opportunities, proposes improvements, and contributes to strengthening growth and pipeline outcomes in assigned markets.
The role also supports reputation‑sensitive campaign execution by collaborating with Brand & Reputation and Communications colleagues to ensure campaigns align with brand guidance, reach low‑risk audience groups, and reinforce proactive and reactive brand awareness efforts when needed.
As a member of the Production Team and the wider Marketing, Communications and Advocacy department, the Performance Marketeer contributes to ongoing brand and marketing initiatives, provides reporting and insights, and supports the delivery of activities that help advance capital‑raising goals.
Main responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a multi-segment, performance marketing strategy (Retail, HV, Institutional, and Brand) that delivers against and aligns with broader brand and capital raising objectives.
Contribute to annual marketing planning and strategic roadmap, including leading yearly strategic initiatives to support improvements to investor experiences, personalization strategies and increase in ILV per segment.
Provide performance acquisition marketing forecasts, seasonality and scenario modelling.
Continuously optimize budget allocation to drive ROI, reduce CPA (over time) and maximise opportunities for demand and lead generation.
Channel & Campaign Management
Lead paid acquisition across Google Ads, LinkedIn, display, retargeting, programmatic, and relevant financial/additional platforms based on audience insights. If required, manage paid media suppliers and agencies in market to drive a centralised strategy that is tailored to market and audience needs.
Contribute to audience segmentation strategies by implementing effective tracking of campaigns and working with Business Innovation and Insights Team and IT to capture campaign and audience data and provide to central reporting platforms. This data activity should, at all times, adhere to GDPR, cookie policy and data handling laws, and any additional laws within target markets.
Create campaigns that adhere to brand guidelines (TOV & visual direction), and ensure compliant messaging aligned with regulatory standards
Deliver continuous testing and optimisation of paid acquisition. A/B test content, messaging and incentives within audience segments to improve campaign results.
Analyse campaign results and acquisition channel performance to make changes to marketing performance strategy and tactics, and inform other Studio leads to influence creative direction and execution across all marketing channels (web, social, press, CRM).
Create reports and deliver insights on investor segment ‘search and discovery’ and ‘conversion’ behaviour to Audience/Investor Engagement teams to support creation of capital raising strategies and targets.
Segment-Specific Focus
Retail Investors
Create and deliver best in class performance acquisition marketing strategies that utilise results and learn from A/B testing to continuously decrease CPA and find the optimal CPL & CPA benchmarks by market.
Create scalable performance marketing strategies allowing for longer term growth, identifying behavioural commonalities across markets to create efficiencies in channel selection and campaign creation.
Support creation of landing pages/onboarding strategies to maximize campaign spend in collaboration with IE/Audience, IT and Studio specialists.
HV Retail Investors
Identify and continually test opportunities to target HV investors in collaboration with Audience – by identifying paid media opportunities and translating audience motivations into targeted messaging strategies.
Amplify personalization strategies (such as events and eCRM) by complimentary paid media strategies such as social media boosting.
Institutional Investors
Support account-based marketing (ABM) strategies in collaboration with
Identify opportunities within Institutional Audience segments and potential publications and channels to create high quality conversations. Pitch ideas to Institutional investor team and agree opportunities within their calendar to test and refine targeting.
Collaborate with Institutional investment team to reduce conversion timelines, supporting identification of drop-off points and messaging.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Product, and Investor Relations
Manage agency partners where applicable
Influence leadership decisions using performance data.
Performance & Analytics
Own performance dashboards and if required, attribution models
Analyse cross-channel, cross-market and cross-segment effectiveness and seasonality of performance marketing.
Working with Business Data and Innovation Team, deliver executive-level reporting and insights to support Inflow strategies, and support wider Oikocredit understanding of market, and investor behaviours, motivations and opinions/values.
Work closely with other Channel leads within the studio and with IT to ensure robust tracking and, where possible (and compliant), match to audience segments.
Budget Ownership
Own and manage the paid media budget. Contribute to budget planning and allocation on a yearly basis providing forecast for paid media spend in line with seasonality. Effectively manage the budget on a monthly basis tracking spend and making changes (increases/decreases) to monthly spend in line with target achievement. Raise POs prior to work commencing and upload invoices.
Allocate spend across channels, markets and investor segments based on ROI and aligning with the Investor Engagement/Audience capital raising strategies.
Education, skills and experience
6-8 years in performance marketing/growth marketing.
Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken) with strong writing and editing skills; additional languages are a plus (especially Dutch, German, French or Spanish).
Experience within financial services, asset management, or fintech preferred.
Experience marketing to retail and professional investor audiences, if possible.
Strong understanding of compliance considerations including GDPR, desired for further compliance considerations in financial promotions.

Additional remarks
The position is based in the Netherlands. Candidates currently based elsewhere in Europe are welcome, provided they are willing to relocate.
The role is ideally full-time, though a 32-hour contract is also an option.
