About the job
As Business Manager, you provide strategic and operational support to the CIEO and ensure cohesion, structure, and follow‑through across all Inflow activities. You coordinate the implementation of the Inflow strategy, maintain oversight of key deliverables, and ensure effective alignment between Inflow teams and other departments. The role acts as a central organising point for planning, governance, cross‑team coordination, and performance follow‑up, ensuring that the Inflow domain functions in a consistent, disciplined and well‑aligned way.
Main responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Alignment:
Coordinate the annual strategic planning and priority‑setting process for the Inflow domain.
Ensure alignment of objectives and plans across OI, both in Amersfoort and with regional teams.
Translate strategic goals into structured work plans and monitor follow‑through.
Executive Advisory (Chief of Staff Role):
Support the CIEO as a sparring partner on planning, prioritisation, and organisational alignment.
Prepare briefings, synthesize information, and provide well‑structured recommendations.
Ensure decisions are followed up and fully implemented across teams.
Coordinate key initiatives that contribute to delivering the Inflow strategy.
Maintain oversight of timelines, dependencies, risks, and responsibilities.
Change Implementation Support:
Support (and at times lead) the implementation of change initiatives within Inflow.
Work closely with MT and HR partners to address resistance, encourage new mindsets and behaviours, and ensure that process improvements are embedded and sustained.
Cross Inflow Collaboration:
Ensure effective collaboration between Inflow teams, Outflow teams, IT and other cross‑functional partners.
Maintain a clear overview of interdependencies and ensure issues are escalated when needed.
Champion modern analytics tools, data governance practices, and process automation to improve decision quality, efficiency, and organizational learning.
Organizational Development:
Support CIEO in planning communication, onboarding, and capability‑building activities linked to strategic initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Ensure clear and timely communication of priorities, plans, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate coordination between different groups, ensuring consistent messaging and expectations.
Prepare agendas, materials, and follow‑up actions for Inflow management meetings.
Risk & Issue Management:
Monitor risks, issues, and bottlenecks related to strategic initiatives.
Flag concerns early, propose mitigation options, and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
Performance Monitoring:
Coordinate performance tracking for Inflow OKRs, KPIs, and key deliverables.
Consolidate inputs from Heads and ensure high‑quality reporting to the CIEO, MB, and SB.
Use data and structured insights to identify where adjustments are needed.
Governance Management – MB meetings etc.
Manage preparation and follow‑up for governance meetings (MB, SB, SAs, etc.) related to the Inflow area.
Ensure deadlines are met and materials are consistent and well‑structured.
Education, skills and experience
Advanced degree in Business, Strategy, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in business management, strategic planning, project coordination or similar roles.
Proven ability to manage complex cross‑functional processes or initiatives.
Experience supporting senior leaders or working in a Chief‑of‑Staff style function is an advantage.
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to Oikocredit’s mission and values.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Additional remarks
The position is based in the Netherlands. Candidates currently based elsewhere in Europe are welcome, provided they are willing to relocate.
The role is ideally full-time, though a 32-hour contract is also an option.
The anticipated start date for this vacancy is September or October 2026.
