Oikocredit is strengthening its Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) system for the Climate Solutions Portfolio which covers four high-impact subsectors/segments:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern who will support the Sustainable Impact (SI) Specialist in the design, testing, documentation and rollout of the new Climate IMM tools and processes.
You will provide analytical, documentation and coordination support to the SI Specialist during the development and implementation of the Climate IMM system. You will help ensure high‑quality, fit-for-purpose tools, evidence‑based indicators, and smooth adoption across Investment teams and partners.
The start date will be between June and October 2026, for a period of 3 – 6 months, full‑time or part‑time (minimum 3 days/week).
Main responsibilities
A. Research & Analytical Support (30%)
Review internal documents and synthesise requirements into clear technical notes.
Support mapping of environmental checklist elements to each climate subsector.
Assist in identifying and reviewing relevant sector benchmarks.
B. Tool Development & Testing (40%)
Support drafting and refinement of tools (e.g., screening tool, ESG scorecards, and monitoring templates) that are relevant for each climate segment.
Help test MVP versions of tools with dummy data or sample partner information to check clarity, logic, completeness, and usability.
Consolidate pilot feedback from the Climate team into structured updates for v1.1 tool revisions.
C. Data & KPIs (10%)
Assist in reviewing and updating KPI libraries.
Review quality and consistency of partner data received during pilot testing.
Help draft methodological notes, calculation rules and definitions for internal guidance documents.
D. Documentation, Training & Communication (20%)
Support preparation of material for internal training (Investment teams).
Qualifications
Master’s or final‑year Bachelor’s student in: Sustainable Development, Environment, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, Climate/Environmental Sciences, or related field.
Strong analytical and research capability.
Excellent writing skills (English); ability to synthesise technical information clearly.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Familiarity with ESG/impact investing concepts desirable.
Interest in climate justice, inclusive finance, smallholder resilience, or renewable energy.

You will receive an internship allowance amounting to €500 gross per month for Master students and €400 gross per month for Bachelor’s students, on the basis of 40 hours per week. In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata.
In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
