About the job
The Global Capacity Building Specialist is responsible for working with the business to identify, develop and manage the implementation and profiling of CB programs which will mark Oikocredit’s differentiated offer and positioning as a social impact investor within the impact investing landscape.
The Global Capacity Building Specialist works in close coordination with the Social Performance & Capacity Building Specialists in the regions to identify and develop relevant programs which are scalable/replicable and with clear potential of high social impact within the sectors Oikocredit is active in.
Main responsibilities
Close cooperation with Regional Offices to establish priorities and develop programs in line with Oikocredit’s FI & Agri strategies and Financial Inclusion and Agri partner needs related to Technology & Digitalization, Risk Management, Products & Services and Governance & Leadership to present to OIF for funding.
Together with the Oikocredit Fundraiser and Oikocredit International Foundation (OIF), identify opportunities for CB programs and projects and provide input for the proposals to present to external funders.
Ensure uniform understanding and practices in planning, implementing, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of CB programs in line with Oikocredit’s internal frameworks and funder requirements.
Support the development of a community of practice within Oikocredit, to contribute identifying best practices, needs and priorities to support organizations with CB.
Education, skills and experience
Advanced academic qualifications in Economics, Business Administration, Development Economics or related disciplines.
Around 7 years relevant experience.
Advanced project management skills – from objective setting, planning, implementation to evaluation and reporting.
Experience in conducting management level and client level training; facilitation and presentation skills.
Experience in preparing project proposals and report writing.
Experience working with or in the impact investing sector.
Field experience in developing countries.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Strong communicator and fluent in English. Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French highly desired.

Additional remarks
Willingness to travel within country/internationally up to 15-20% of the time.
The position is based in the Netherlands. Candidates currently based elsewhere are welcome, provided they are willing to relocate.
