About the job
Oikocredit International is looking for an Office Assistant (20 hours) to be based in Quito, Ecuador.
This position supports regional or hub office staff, the investment manager/senior investment officer, investment officers, regional director, SPCB officer, finance, portfolio manager. This position will support marketing activities for outflow in the country, being responsible for the more operational tasks. Together with the Investment manager/ Senior investment officer the assistant supports the execution of activities. Tasks include, among other things, coordinating Oikocredit participation in events (sponsorships, attendance).
Main responsibilities
Supports with accounting and compliance local regulation
Supports Marketing & Communications activities at Hub level in coordination with Communications at the International Office (press releases, post for LinkedIn, Translations, planning of photographer's visits).
Manages contract with external IT consultants and other suppliers (stationary/maintenance/cleaning services)
Receives visitors
Makes electronic payments and manage petty cash
Support the local compliance in the country before local authorities.
HR and Finance local support
Payments management and programming the payments to be approved by the authorized person in the bank
Manages and updates functional contacts database
Supports electronic and hardcopy filing of documents in support of country staff
Service providers agreements
Entering the accounting information into external/ internal systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree administrative or secretarial support education or similar
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
High computer literacy in general
Fluency in English.

Additional remarks
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
