Communications Intern

For our Communications team composed of four team members, we are looking for a Communications Intern (32-40 hours) to be based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
We also offer the possibility to write a thesis if this is required by your studies.
The start date will be in September 2026 or shortly after, for a period of 4 – 6 months.
Main responsibilities
Support the planning, coordination and facilitation of internal events and meetings across in-person, online and hybrid formats.
Assist with the management and maintenance of Oikocredit's global intranet, including publishing, reviewing and updating content.
Create and edit internal communications content, including news articles, announcements and employee engagement materials.
Support internal communications campaigns by assisting with content creation, research, coordination and rollout activities.
Contribute to the development of visual communication materials, including presentations, graphics and other creative assets.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Marketing, Communications and Advocacy team on a variety of communications projects and initiatives.
Provide general administrative and project support, ensuring tasks are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Students enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree programme in the field of communications, marketing, or related, and living in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
A strong interest in development finance and development communications.
Some (work) experience in communications and/or marketing.
Experience in content creation will be considered an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (French, Spanish) will be considered an asset.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications; experience with content management systems, SharePoint or intranet platforms is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, time management and self-organisation skills.
A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and confidence to take initiative.
Creativity and an eye for visual communication and design.
Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.

You will receive an internship allowance amounting to €500 gross per month for Master students and €400 gross per month for Bachelor’s students, on the basis of 40 hours per week. In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata.
In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
